AHS hockey team grabs lopsided win

Arrowhead’s state-ranked boys hockey team continued to roll last Saturday as they whipped host Appleton United in a non-conference game, 9-0.

The win moved the team’s record to a history best 14-0-1 to open the season.

After taking a 1-0 lead after the first period, the Warhawks blew the game open by scoring four goals in each of the final two periods.

Will Bonk had a monster game for the winners, finishing with three goals and three assists.

Trenton Skaggs also came up big, scoring twice and adding three assists. Nick Catalano added two goals and an assist and Casey Sodolski and Nick Vondrak had one goal apiece.

Zach Wolverton had two assists for AHS and TJ Haas and Tanner Schutt had one each.

Goalie Davis Nunnally saved all 17 shots he faced. Arrowhead had 32 shots on goal.
